Abstract
SUMMARY Endomyces geotrichum Butler & Petersen, isolated from soils in Puerto Rico, is described as the perfect form of Geotrichum candidimi Lk. ex Pers. Wild-type cultures are self-fertile but give rise to self-sterile, cross-fertile mating types. Endomyces geotrichum is morphologically similar to E. reessii van der Walt but differs from it in the formation of a median-furrowed, punctate ascospore wall. Keywords
