Abstract
The cross sections for elastic scattering and for excitation of hydrogen atoms by electron impact are calculated for energies in the range from 10.2 to 12.1 eV. The calculations are made variationally. A pseudostate expansion is employed to represent the target atom. Energies and widths of resonances are obtained. Results are compared with experiment. Keywords
