The Nuclear Magnetic Moment ofS33from Microwave Spectroscopy

Abstract

The magnetic dipole moment of the ${\mathrm{S}}^{33}$ nucleus was determined by means of the Zeeman effect on the hyperfine pattern of the $J=1\mathrm{}\to 2$ rotational absorption of the molecule ${\mathrm{O}}^{16}$ ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$ ${\mathrm{S}}^{33}$ at about 24,020 Mc/sec. The result is $\mu \left({\mathrm{S}}^{33}\right)=+0.633\mathrm{}\pm 0.010\mathrm{nuclear}\mathrm{magneton}.$
