Abstract
Assays for seven of the B-vits. were made on (1) crude commercial casein, (2) alcohol extracted casein, (3) acid washed casein, (4) Labco casein and (5) Smaco casein. Thiamine was detd. by a thiochrome method, riboflavin by a fluorometric method, the others by microbiological methods. The purified caseins carried 1/10 to 1/2 of all the vits. found in crude casein. All purified caseins had the same vit. content except for acid-washed casein which contained less riboflavin. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
