Abstract
Approximately 26 500 two-prong events were measured and analyzed by the Notre Dame and Pennsylvania groups, independently. From these analyses, 2421 events of the reaction were obtained. The predictions of one-particle-exchange models with and without absorptive effects are compared with our data for the production and decay of the and the . We have also observed the recently discovered meson. The cross sections for , , and production are also given.
