Phonons in metallic glasses

Abstract
The vibrational spectrum of a densely packed metallic glass is discussed in terms of a simple but realistic force constant model. It is concluded that the shape of the spectrum is largely determined by the short range structure and is sensitive to triangles of bonds between near neighbours.Keywords
