Abstract
Adhesion formation in the intraabdominal space of the guinea pig was prevented by simultaneous i.p. infusion of hydrocortisone dextran and chymotrypsin. An examination made 3 wk after the operation revealed a highly significant (P < 0.001) difference in favor of the dextran, dextran-chymotrypsin and dextra-chymotrypsin-hydrocortisone groups when compared with the NaCl and control groups.
