Total Neutron Cross Section of Manganese

Abstract
The total neutron cross section of manganese has been measured from 0.01 eV to about 50 keV and a multilevel analysis of the data from 0.01 eV to 15 keV has been carried out. This analysis shows that the strength function is Γ¯n0D=9.52.5+6.5×104 and that the potential-scattering amplitude for the J=3 series of levels is substantially less than 4 F.
