Abstract
The increase in liver glycogen of Compound E-treated, adrenalectomized rats over normal rats, or adrenalec-tomized rats given salt or desoxycorticosterone acetate is reaffirmed. The dicarboxylic amino acids are decreased and alanine is increased in the livers of adrenalectomized rats given Compound E. The changes in amino acid concn. and distr. in muscle were not impressive. It is suggested that the dicarboxylic amino acids are transformed to carbohydrate under the influence of Compound E, and that this effect is much more predominant in the liver than in muscle. Keywords
