Abstract
The patient described had a subacute onset of some bowel complaints. An adenocarcinoma of the transverse colon was found. There was light improvement in the ataxia even before operative removal of the carcinoma but it cleared almost entirely in the post operative course. The pathology and possible etiologic factors as well as the clinical significance are discussed. Keywords
