Abstract
Dogs were provided with duodenal fistula so that intermittent cannulization of the pancreatic duct could be performed. It was found that when the pancreatic juice was excluded from the duodenum the pH of the duodenal contents was generally lower, but the acidity did not exceed that which was obtained when the pancreatic juice was returned to the duodenum. Furthermore, there was no correlation between the pH of the duodenal contents and the vol. of pancreatic secretion after feeding the dog. Keywords
