Abstract
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia is probably more rare in the male than in the female child 1; only a few cases of adrenal hyperplasia, with varying clinical symptomatology, have been described in the adult male. In the present communication we wish to report a case of disturbed adrenal function with unusual clinical features in a 60-year-old male whose condition was first documented at this late age. Report of Case A 60-year-old German-born male teacher, was admitted to the medical department on Dec 22, 1959, and again on April 12, 1960. The main features in his long medical history were as follows: At the age of 25 tuberculosis was suspected be- cause of fatigue and a slight temperature elevation, but no definite diagnosis was made. In 1931, at the age of 32 he underwent an emergency laparatomy for an "acute abdomen." Mesenteric lymphadenitis was the only finding and biopsy of the mesentericKeywords
