Abstract
The angular distribution of neutrons scattered from 36 elements and one compound has been measured over the energy interval 60 kev to 1800 kev. The results are presented in terms of the coefficients of a Legendre-polynomial expansion of the differential scattering cross section in the laboratory coordinate system. All of the data have been corrected for attenuation of the primary beam and a representative part of the data has been corrected for multiple scattering and for the finite angular resolution of the experimental equipment. The analytical details of the multiple (essentially, double) scattering corrections are given in an appendix. Keywords
