Abstract
The energy level and magnetic data of are more or less adequately explained by assuming an configuration. However, there seems to be some discrepancy between the value for the quadrupole moment as predicted from this assumption and the measured value given by Kahalas and Nesbet. This discrepancy is explained in terms of a weak particle-surface coupling which need only affect the electric quadrupole operator.
