Abstract
The magnetic properties of amorphous bias‐sputtered films of Gdx(FeyCo1−y)1−x are investigated. In particular, the effects of changing the relative amounts of Co and Fe are studied. Increasing the iron by 12% lowers the exchange between the rare earth and the transition metal by about 35%. There is no apparent change in the anisotropy constant with iron‐cobalt ratio. Keywords
