Abstract
A double-blind Cooperative study involving 150 patients with multiple myeloma was undertaken to determine if sodium fluoride administration could favorably influence the clinical course. No beneficial effect on the subjective or objective aspects of the clinical course, nor on survival, could be identified during an observation period of 53 to 70 months. There is suggestive evidence that the production of fluorosis may be detrimental to the clinical course of a patient with multiple myeloma. Keywords
