Abstract
An analysis of the aminoacyl-sRNA patterns of vegetative and sporulating cells of B. subtilis by methylated albumin column chromatography revealed that the ratio of 2 valyl-sRNA peaks underwent a significant change during the initial stages of sporulatian. The ratio returned to that of vegetative cells during the later sporulation stages. The profiles and patterns of the 15 other amino-acids tested were not altered. The alteration in the valyl-sHNA pattern was a function of the sRNA and not the amino-acyl-sRNA synthetase.
