Effect of Chronic Salt Depletion on Blood Pressure of Renal Hypertensive Dogs

Abstract
Chronic severe Na depletion with hyponatremia, reduced blood pressure of renal hypertensive dogs to normotensive levels. This condition had no effect on the blood pressure of normotensive dogs. Low Na diet alone had no effect on blood pressure of renal hypertensive dogs, nor did pretreatment with this diet influence the course of malignant renal hypertension.
