Abstract
Studies have been made of the potential effects of aspirin, salicylic acid, phenacetin, paracetamol, codeine, caffeine, theophylline and quinine on the spectrophotofluorometric assay of griseofulvin in blood. Aspirin, salicylic acid or quinine are likely to give falsely high values. Detection of this bias by inspecting the fluorescence spectra of the extracted griseofulvin is not always possible. Keywords
