Abstract
The authors report 46 Gbit/s 2:1 multiplexer and 40 Gbit/s 1:2 demultiplexer IC modules using InAlAs/InGaAs/InP HEMTs. Each chip is mounted on a dedicated broadband chip-size cavity package. These modules are the first to provide an error-free 40 Gbit/s multiplex/demultiplex operation. Keywords
