Abstract
Influenza viruses PR8 and Lee, when injected simultaneously on the chorion, show no interference as is the case when injn. is within the allantoic cavity. Partially inactivated PR8 virus, which when injected intra-allantoically produces "auto-interference", shows no such effect when inoculation is on the chorion. In the allantoic cavity completely inactivated virus interferes with the multiplication of active virus injected subsequently. No such interference develops when the same materials are injected on the chorion. Possible explanations for these results are discussed. Keywords
