Abstract
Twelve N balance tests on 11 patients after an avg. period of 89 days on the rice diet showed that N intake and N output were close to equilibrium in all 12 test periods. Five balances were slightly negative, 7 slightly positive. The avg. of the 5 N balances was -0.39 g., the avg. of the 7 positive balances 0,70 g./day. The avg. of the results of all the 12 tests was a positive balance of 0.25 g. The significance of a slightly negative balance is discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
