Difficulty for the Weinberg model ofCPnonconservation through Higgs-boson exchange

Abstract

We evaluate the $\mathrm{CP}$-violation parameter $\frac{{\epsilon }^{\prime }}{\epsilon }$ in the Weinberg model of $\mathrm{CP}$ nonconservation. When gluon-exchange effects are included, we find $\frac{{\epsilon }^{\prime }}{\epsilon }\sim -0.045\mathrm{}$, which is in conflict with the experimental measurement $\frac{{\epsilon }^{\prime }}{\epsilon }=-0.003\mathrm{}\pm 0.015$.
