The relationship of dermatitis in chicks to lack of vitamin B2 and to dietary egg-white

Abstract
The dermatitis of chicks on a ration rich in egg-white and containing 10% of wheat embryo and 5% of yeast was nearly identical in appearance with that obtained on a heated ration low in vit. B2; the egg-white dermatitis was cured, not by Lilly liver extract No. 343, but by equivalent amts. of the liver residue after removal of the extract. The dermatitis due to lack of vit. B2 was cured by Lilly liver extract but not by equivalent amts. of the liver residue.
