Lithospermum ruderale and the Incidence of Mammary Tumors in Mice.

Abstract
Ground lithosperm (a plant which induces diestrus) administered by drug-diet to virgin female mice, starting at 6 to 8 weeks of age, decreased the incidence of spontaneous mammary tumors from 58.1% to 2.8% in C3H mice and from 96.6% to 21.9% in ZDF1 mice.
