Abstract
The ovarian response elicited in hypo-physectomized immature [female] rats by administering the same total dosage of equine gonadotrophin in 5 different ways was studied. A dose of 10 Cole-Saunders r.u. was used. A single inj., regardless of the route of adm., exhibited more potency than divided subcut. injs. However, the greatest avg. ovarian response was produced by the daily intraperit. method. Corpora lutea formation resulted in some animals following intraperit. or intraven. injs. but was not observed after subcut. hormone adm. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
