Polarization in Proton-He4Scattering at 540 MeV

Abstract

The asymmetry of polarized protons scattered from ${}_{}{}^4{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$ has been measured for laboratory angles between 4 and 42° at the proton energy of 540 MeV. The result is compared with the elastic $p$-${}_{}{}^4{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$ scattering cross section at 588 MeV.
