Abstract
Urinary 17-ketogenic steroids with and without C11 oxygenation were fractionated. Normal children had a mean ratio of non-oxygenated: oxygenated steroids of 0.24, but children with congenital adrenal hyperplasia had a ratio of 2.3. This test is based on the increased urinary excretion of pregnanetriol which is pathognomonic of congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Keywords
