Magnetothermal behavior of the two-dimensional triangular-lattice compounds RCuO2 [R=La, Pr, Nu, Eu, and (La0.2Gd0.8)]

Abstract
The magnetothermal properties of the Delafossite-type compounds RCuO2, with R=La, Pr, Nd, Eu,and La0.2 Gd0.8 are presented. Particular attention is paid to the low-temperature cooperative behavior of this planar triangular system. Frustration is found to exist for the Kramers-ion compounds. For R=La0.2 Gd0.8, a spin-glass-like behavior is found.
