Abstract
Sublingual administration of 17-methyl-19-nortestosterone (I) produced a progestational type of endometrium in women on a single daily sublingual standard dose of 50 [mu]g of ethinyl estradiol. I was 150 times as active as progesterone (n) and at least 50 times as active as 17[alpha]-ethinyl testosterone given by the same route. I given by the sublingual route was about 10 times as active as II given by injection. Thera-peutically I was found to be effective in sublingual doses of 1 to 12.5 mg/24 hours.
