Abstract
The thyroidal uptake one hour after oral admn. of a tracer dose of radioactive I may be used as a screening procedure to separate the hyperthyroid from the euthyroid state. It compares favorably with the one-hour uptake after intraven. admn. and with the 24-hour uptake following oral administration. The technique presented here has the obvious advantages of simplicity of admn. and economy of time. Keywords
