Abstract
The spectroscopic factors for and He are studied using dispersion relations. It is found that the large distortions represented by the cuts, which have previously prevented dispersion relations from being a practical tool for nuclear physics, can be handled using the conformal mapping techniques of Cutkosky. The method could have general applicability for nuclear physics.
