Abstract
The administration of secretins by vein or dilute HCl by intestine accelerates the external pancreatic secretory flow by 2 supplementary actions, i.e., increased splanchnic blood flow and direct stimulation of the secretory mechanism. The order of the secretagogue efficiency of the preparations tested, from the greatest to the least, was HCl in the intestine, and the following secretins: Bayliss and Starling, "new'' vasodilatin free, purified Bayliss and Starling, Dale and Laidlaw. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
