Goldberger-Treiman discrepancy and the momentum variation of the pion-nucleon form factor and pion decay constant

Abstract

We suggest that the observed 6% Goldberger-Treiman discrepancy is due in part to a 3% variation in the pionnucleon form factor and in part due to a 3% variation in the pion decay form factor from $q^2=m_{\pi }^{}{}_{}{}^2$ to $q^2=0\mathrm{}$.
