Abstract
Epidermal and hair follicle transglutaminases crosslink structural proteins in the skin by epsilon-(gamma-glutamyl)-lysine bonds. This crosslinking produces protein polymers that are extremely insoluble and, until recently, difficult to characterize. Keywords
