Abstract
PHENOTHIAZINE derivatives have long been known to have serious toxic effects in a small number of susceptible persons. Among these reactions are hepatic damage, epileptic seizures, Parkinson's disease, various skin disorders and hematopoietic depression.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 It is the purpose of this report to call attention to the hematotoxic potentialities of a new member of this pharmacologic family, trimeprazine.
