Abstract
Deuteron stripping differential cross sections based on the distorted wave Born approximation with diffuse-well nuclear optical potentials have been calculated for a large number of reactions, using mainly a program whose average running time a CDC 1604 computer is about 3 sec. In general, good agreement between theoretical and experimental results has been obtained for nuclei with using nuclear parameters which are relatively constant. It has been found that best-fit elastic scattering optical parameters give good results for nuclei in this region. The effect of spin-orbit interactions on differential cross sections and on polarizations has also been examined.
