Abstract
Purified growth hormone, practically free of "contaminating" hormones, was injected into hypophysectomized rats which had been fasted for approx. 18 hrs. Within 1-3 hrs., typical hypo-glycemic symptoms, such as torpor and convulsions, were exhibited. The blood sugar level was markedly further depressed than that of untreated controls fasted for the same period.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
