Avian Lymphomatosis. V. Air-Borne Transmission

Abstract
Transmission of the lymphomatosis agent via the air route was established by interconnecting ventilation systems from modified Horsfall units containing infected chicks to ones containing susceptible ones. The rate of demonstrable transmission was 24 of 30 chicks after 24 and 40 days of exposure. The clinical and pathological manifestations of the disease were indistinguishable from those of parenterally-induced or natural infections.
