Abstract
By means of chromatography on barium sulfate mixed with hyflo-supercel and elution with citrate soln. it is possible to isolate prothrombin and Factor VII from human plasma. The final prothrombin yield is about 50% whereas Factor VII recovery never exceeds 10%. Factor VII is easily obtained from serum by adsorption on barium sulfate (yield 90%). The physiological properties of Factor VII prepd. from human plasma and serum are identical. Keywords
