Über die Biosynthese der Mutterkornalkaloide: Vergleich von zwei möglichen Zwischenprodukten

Abstract
The rate of incorporation of labeled 4-dimethyl-allyl-tryptophane (II) and l-[beta]-indolyl)-2-amino-5-methylhexene-(4) (I) in the ergot alkaloids were compared with each other and with those of tryptophane in two Claviceps strains. II was utilized better than I, although more poorly than tryptophane. What factors affected the utilization of the compounds was investigated. A clear decision as to whether I or II are intermediate stages of ergolin biosynthesis can not be made.
