Abstract
This paper answers critcism by P. Greig-Smith et al of the author''s earlier paper. It is maintained that the variance between samples of vegetation often increases continuously with the distance separating them. "Peaks" in the variance-spacing curve, though sometimes real, may often be either random or adequately represented by a ploynomial regression. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
