Abstract
The autoxidation of elaidic and oleic acids with O2 was studied at 100, 65, and 50[degree] for products formed: the epoxy acid, monoacyl esters derived from it, alpha,beta-unsaturated keto acids, and resinous polymers of the latter in varying proportions at different temps. A sequence of reactions to account for these products is suggested.
