Abstract
Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy was attempted in 16 patients using local anesthesia and i.v. meperidine and diazepam sedation. The procedure was shown to be safe, easy to perform, and avoided the need for laparotomy. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is the preferred route of alimentation in patients requiring feeding gastrostomy. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
