Multiphoton Ionization of Atomic Hydrogen

Abstract

To resolve the discrepancy between the numerical results of Zernik and those of Gontier and Trahin for two-photon ionization of atomic hydrogen in the ground state, we have used a third method to obtain the numerical results. Our results agree exactly with those of Zernik.
