Abstract

Our determination of the height-height correlation function for the solid-on-solid $F$ (FSOS) model permitted a discriminating test of the Kosterlitz-Thouless theory. Furthermore, our method provided accurate estimates of the transition temperatures of other models, and these have been confirmed by later work.
