Abstract
Serum testosterone levels were determined by a radioimmunological method in 102 patients with laryngeal carcinoma and in a control group of 10 healthy men. All patients were examined before the initiation of any operative or radiation therapy and after termination of treatment. The testosterone levels in the cancer patients showed a tendency toward higher values when compared with a control group of healthy men. These results indicate that hormone preparations could be considered as part of the therapy of laryngeal carcinomas. Keywords
