Darstellung von Protaminase.

Abstract
The preparation of protaminase from pancreas rested on the special affinity of the proteinase to genuine protein substances. The action of this protaminase, as described earlier (Zeitschrift-Physiol. Chem. 197, 219 (1931)), consisted in the splitting off of basic building stones from proteins and peptones. From a peptidase-free mixture of both enzymes, only the proteinase was precipitated upon addition of acetone in the presence of egg albumin. The proteinase remained in the residue after treatment with 30% acetone.
