Abstract
Fluvoxamine is a new antidepressant, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor that is also a potent inhibitor of various microsomal cytochrome P450 isoenzymes in the human liver. In this case report we describe a patient who had an increased trimipramine concentration and anticholinergic and neurologic side effects during concomitant fluvoxamine treatment. These were probably due to the inhibitory effect of fluvoxamine on the metabolism of trimipramine. Keywords
