Abstract
A mini TEA CO2 laser using a semiconductor preionizer is described. The laser will operate at a pulse repetition frequency greater than 5 kHz. At a pulse repetition frequency of 1 kHz a mean power output of 35 W can be maintained over extended periods. Burst mode operation of 104 shots at a pulse repetition frequency of 1.5 kHz can produce mean power in excess of 50 W.Keywords
